A BRIEF HISTORY OF OUR COMPANYOur company is steeped in 80 years of history. It was originally founded as "Trinders" (an off shoot of their successful funeral directors) in Banbury back in the 1930's as a taxi firm, utilising the funeral businesses Rolls Royce vehicles during periods of inactivity. The company prospered but it was decided to concentrate on the funeral side of the business and so sold the taxi business. Charles (Tex) O'Neil was the purchaser and TEX CARS was born.The business thrived and in 1989 it was purchased by it's present owners, husband and wife team Graham and Alicicicia "Lici" Harris and under their stewardship, saw the company through a financially turbulent period which saw many of the competitors go out of business. In fact, TEX CARS was able to not only thrive, but to grow. After several moves to progressively larger premises, in 2007, TEX CARS branched out to incorporate coaches and buses to run along side their successful private hire service and thus TEX CARS & COACHES LIMITED was formed. A further move to its current home in Adderbury occured in 2009 and the business has continued to grow with a reputation for value and excellent customer service putting them head and shoulders above the competition.

OUR STAFFTex Cars and Coaches Ltd. currently employ 25 staff of which over 20 are drivers or able to drive various vehicles in our fleet.Our pool of drivers have well over 500 years driving experince between them including driving public transport, private hire, minibuses and coaches. They are all adaptable to the needs and wishes of the customer and have the pride, knowledge, qualifications and experience needed to to deliver a first class transportation service in comfory and safety.All our staff and drivers hold full CRB disclosures enabling them to transport children and vulnerable people.Our ethos is one of honesty, integrity, reliability and putting the customer first, values that are reflected in all of our employees.We are confident that from management downwards, every member of Tex Cars and Coaches family will do all they can to assist you in getting the most out of your jouney, both in terms of value and service.

4 service buses

18 and 16 Seat minibuses (some modified for disabled access)

Executive private hire vehicles including new model Chyslers and Range Rovers

All vehicles have seat belts and are maintained to the highest posible standards to ensure that your journey is both safe and comfortable

This year we are proud to be the official club sponsor of Kidlington Royals Football Club, one of the top Sunday League sides in Oxfordshire.

Environmental Policy

WORKING TOWARDS A SAFER, GREENER FUTURE

As a caring company we try to ensure that all our activities are carried out in such a manner as to reduce the impact on our environment. To this end all our waste oil is collected and disposed of by an approved oil recycling company. Our old tyres are shredded and recycled by a local contractor who also collects and recycles all our scrap metal.

Many of our vehicles are LEZ compliant at considerable expense and produce virtually no CO2 emissions. The certificates for these vehicles are renewed annually after testing.

The detergent used to wash our vehicles is non toxic and does not harm wildlife or the enviornment in any way.

All engine and chassis degreasing is undertaken by Scania Banbury, where drain interceptors remove any oil particles prior to the waste water entering the water system.

Even our waste office paperwork is shredded and recycled in an efficient manner.

We feel that it's only right that we take steps to safeguard the future of our children and leave the world in a healthy and clean state for generations to come.

For years we have been transporting children to and from schools in Oxfordshire. We opperate extensive school bus routes for Warrinor School, Chenderit School as well as operating special disabled transport for Frank Wise School.We also opperate service buses between Banbury and Brackley via several of the villages in between as well as a service between Banbury and Bicester. These services are vital for the more vulnerable members of these small communities.In the near future we hope to be opperating a football express service to all Oxford United matches between Banbury and the Kassam Stadium via Bicester.
We have an extensive range of private hire vehicles with experienced drivers. All our drivers have a full CRB disclosure.We cater for all types and lengths of journey from airport runs, office to office, trains station pick-ups through to executive chauffer hire.We can cover the length and breadth of the UK and all of Europe subject to approval and availability.Our top of the range vehicles are equipped with Sat Nav, Climate control, TV and telephone for your convenience and comfort.We operate a wheelchair accessible vehicle with room for three passengers. This vehicle is equipped with M1 tracking for your safety and is driven and operated by fully trained staff.
We have an extensive fleet of coaches and minibuses with fully qualified drivers, all of whom hold a clean CRB disclosure.We provide a professional service whatever your requirements are.
